Hoover Valley Vineyard - Texas Hill Country (375 ml bottle)
Produced in a manner similar to Madiera, aging in new American oak barrels for two years in the not Texas sun. A delightful dessert wine with a long, lingering finish. Full of caramel and nuttiness, especially hazelnut and walnuts, with hints of molasses. On the palate, you will find notes of crème caramel, honey and nuts, with hints of orange peel and caramelized brown sugar. Delicious with pecan pie, apple pie, blue cheese or on its own.
